NeXus: Building meaningful connections and enriching lives with the love of Jesus in Stafford County and beyond
Imagine the nations gathering right here in our community—and imagine the opportunity God has given us to share His love in practical ways.
This fall, NeXus Ministries is launching a new semester of ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes beginning August 24 at Stafford Crossing Community Church. With six beginner-level classes meeting on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to noon, dozens of international students will be welcomed into an environment where they can learn English, build relationships, and experience the love of Christ.
This ministry is about far more than teaching a language—it is about opening doors to the gospel through genuine friendship and hospitality. There are opportunities to serve as teachers' aides, hospitality volunteers (preparing snacks, tea, and coffee), transportation helpers for students who need rides, and childcare volunteers for mothers attending class.
Beyond the classroom, NeXus also connects with Afghan men through weekly volleyball on Tuesday evenings at Choice Baptist Church. We are looking for Christian men who are willing to build authentic friendships and share the hope of Christ through these relationships.
