Impact:
Hope For Appalachia is collecting Hope Blankets for their mission trips to the Appalachian Mountains. Their prayer is that they will be able to present Hope Blankets and share the love and hope of Jesus Christ with children at over 60 public schools. Hope Blankets are fleece blankets that can be bought or handmade. Blankets are given to children who have a need emotionally and physically. The kids LOVE these and call them “covers"! Instructions:

• Visit the Hope for Appalachia website to familiarize yourself and your small group with the program details.
View this tutorial to learn how to make a “No Sew” fleece blanket.
• Email Mike Dodson or call at 540.718.9675 to determine the current needs.
• Discuss with your group how items will be collected and set a date to make blankets.
• Coordinate with Mike Dodson to arrange a delivery date.
• Let us know how it went. Send an email to mark@staffordcrossing.org and share your story.

Helpful Ideas:
• Take pictures and post them to the Stafford Crossing Facebook page. #sc3missions.
• Include your kids. They can help make blankets and write encouraging notes for the recipient.
