Each year, we partner with local schools to support struggling families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. Helping provide a meaningful holiday season for these families is a great way to show God's love for them, and we have the opportunity to tell them about Jesus. This year, we hope to sponsor up to 40 families!
You can gather your engage group or your family or friend group to sponsor a family for Thanksgiving and Christmas. If sponsoring on your own but need some help, we can pair you with another sponsor to share the commitment or provide some funds to help provide a special blessing for the family. You can tell us on the registration form if you will need help with the finances.
Please note that the commitment includes both Thanksgiving and Christmas meals, as well as gifts for Christmas.
What Should I Expect to Spend for This Outreach?
We understand that these costs can add up, we have grant funds available to help offset the expenses associated with this outreach if you need them. You can request grant funds when you sign up to be a sponsor or by emailing mark@staffordcrossing.org.
The delivery dates are:
THANKSGIVING: Sunday, November 17
CHRISTMAS: Sunday, December 15
Once you’ve been assigned a family, you will receive an email with the family’s information and further instructions. If you have requested grant funds, details about the grant will also be included in that email.
